Seven centuries
prior to the Great War,
humans were in sole guardianship
of their galaxy and home-world
of Earth. But their greed,
the worst enemy they
have ever known, consumed
them. A well known idealist,
William Cyndel, was one
of the first to propose
the idea of galactic
expansion. Unfortunately,
many people did not agree.
Cyndel was shut out by those that he thought
were close to him,
and branded as 'crazy'.
Though hated by many, there were some who believed
in him. Throughout the course of a year,
he had gathered all
those willing, and planned to steal a federation carrier
and escape the doomed
civilization to a newly discovered system.
Unfortunately
for Cyndel, his
plans ended abruptly and in a total failure. He,
and his 1,200 followers, were arrested and later
banished from Earth itself. They were sentenced
to life without the possibility of return, at a
mining facility over 200 light years away, which
would take roughly 8 years to reach. Three years later, an observation outpost received
a message that the cruiser carrying the exiles
had been badly damaged by some unknown force, and
was crashing towards an uncharted planet, some
340 light years off course. The party was never
heard of again. When news reached Earth, no search
parties or attempts were made to save or find the
survivors. The populace was furious. People revolted
against their governments and waged open war; it
was the beginning of the third World War. This
lasted a total of 19 years, and wrecked so much
havoc that the planet itself had become uninhabitable.
Nearly 18 billion people lost their lives. The
survivors, put aside their differences and left
their ancestral home, and wandered into what later
became know as... Galaxis.
The
remnants
of the banished human transport
ship that was
damaged and crash-landed on what later became
know as Cyndel-1. Although it is not documented
how, but this small number of survivors, over
the course of a few hundred years, developed into
one of the most fearsome races known. They are
trained all their lives and taught about the revenge
that must be fulfilled for what the human race
did to them. Their warriors are well trained in both hand-to-hand and air
combat, which
is why they seem so aggressive. Their ships and
pilots are actually fully masked, to hide their
identities, because the Cyndel ignore the fact
that they are actually descendants from humans,
but are so full of vengeance and hate, they hide
who they truly are.
It was later constructed from ship record logs
and survior interviews
that the "unknown
force" turned
out to be the
Vorrid race defending
their territory.
It is such that
the Vorrid hail
from one of the
further corners
of the known
galaxy, and not
much has been
known about them
until recently.
From attacks,
interstellar
contacts, and close observations, we now know
that they have developed their entire civilization
into a caste system. From the lowest group to
the highest, discipline and respect are always
demanded above all else. From what we understand,
their home planet
has been totally depleted of its resources, so
they have moved their entire civilization head-first
into Galaxis with survival
being their only
intention. Since they have just
recently appeared
in the war for
Galaxis, some compare the Vorrid to a 'new kid'
in Galaxis, who wants to fit in or be just as
good as the rest. This would explain constant
the insecurity of their race, and why they are
widely known throughout Galaxis as the best defensively
equipped race.
